Rules of Play

It is the policy of the E.P.A. to run all of its events at a level in keeping to its prestige in the world of Pool. For the comfort of fellow players, organisers and the sponsors we ask all players and teams to adhere to the following rules. They are for the comfort of all.

Please Note
Any entry received that is not accompanied by verified league tables, singles k/o results and team / player registrations will not be accepted. This will be strictly enforced. Singles entries will only be accepted when supported by a team entry.

  1. All Players must reside on site during the finals.
  2. All players/team captains must register upon arrival at the venue no later than 22.00 on the Friday of the finals. Please note that early rounds of the Individual events will commence at 7.00pm on the Friday evening.
  3. Play in the team event will commence at 9.00am on the Saturday morning of the finals.
  4. The E.P.A. dress codewill be enforced during the finals. (The dress code does not apply to flyers or any ancillary events held at the venue.)
  5. The organisers reserve the right to stage a team match on more than one table, if for any reason that they deem play needs to be speeded up. This will apply to the life of the event. In the event of a referee or organiser deciding that no progress is being made in any frame, the referee will re-rack the frame, if this happens a second time in the same frame the frame will be abandoned and played at the end of that match if required. This rule applies to team matches only.
  6. The Decision of the organisers in all matters of organisation and administration will be final. In all matters regarding the game as published by the E.P.A. The decision of the senior referee or their deputy will be final. No appeal will be allowed in either situation.
  7. The Stage and playing area is strictly out of bounds to any person who is not either actually playing or officiating, any person wishing to transverse the arena will be made to go around the perimeter of the arena.
  8. The only persons allowed to approach the Stage are team captains or individual players in other events,and then only to:-
  9. A) Return a completed match sheet.

    B) Register a protest. (Such protests will be discussed by the organisers at the first available opportunity).

    No player will be allowed to enter any dispute or discussion over a dispute unless asked by the organisers. Obscene language to any referee or official will result in the removal of the offender from both the arena and the park. each person is responsible for the conduct of all members in their party, if any person is evicted from the park for misconduct then all members of their party will also be evicted.

  10. Identification badges/wristbands will be issued to all contestants and spectators for the event.

    These items must be displayed in a viewable position, failure to produce/display this identification will result in a payment equal to the accommodation charge in force being levied.

    Damage to a badge/wristband causing it to be un-usable will result in a payment of £27.50 for a replacement band/badge this will be levied upon production of a receipt allowing the recipient access to the park (accommodation receipt) no receipt will mean eviction from the park.
