Pre-Event Report |
| Mark Stenton |
It is with great sadness that I inform you of the tragic death of South Yorkshire County player Mark Stenton. He was knocked down and killed by a car on Saturday 19th August (aged 40). Mark had been a county player for over 10 years mostly in the A team. He never failed to be retained and rarely ever missed a match. He even cycled to an away match once! Mark always took an interest in how the ladies team were getting on and he was fun to have around, we will all miss him. Sharon Lunn. South Yorkshire Secretary/Region 1 Director |

| Andy G Seal |
It is with great sadness that I report the loss of one of Region Ones’ well respected great pool players and characters. Andy G Seal passed away very suddenly on Saturday 19th August 2006 aged 42. Andy is a legend in County Durham, he has been involved with county pool in the region as long as I have known; a great guy who always had time for chat. Andy has been a regular at Great Yarmouth and Reighton Sands events for many years. Many of you may know him as the ‘Hammers’ supporter in the black jeans, white T shirt and famous black leather coat along with a cockney accent from the North East. There are many tributes for Andy on the Durham website www.uk-pool.com Sincere condolences to Andy’s family, partner Suzie and daughter
Jemma from EPA Region 1 Committee, Players and Friends - who will all
miss him. |
