About the EPA

The English Pool Association (EPA) is the governing body for Pool in England.

The EPA is the only pool organisation in England that is run by the players for the players. As an organisation, it is in control of all disciplines of pool in England from the local pub players to recognising the professional players.

As an association, the EPA is affiliated to both the European Eight Ball Pool Federation (EEPF), and the World Eightball Pool Federation (WEPF) and is proud to have been one of the founding members of the WEPF, the parent organisation that officiates the World Eight ball Pool Championships.

The EPA runs and maintains the National squads of Male, Female, Under 23's, Senior's Master's and Junior players that represent England in all international matches, as well as organising the National Inter-County and National Inter-League for players who want to play above the local league level.

Whatever standard you play, EPA runs the best pool competitions in England.

EPA has its own body of referees called the English Pool Referees Association (EPRA) who officiate at all levels of pool from local league right up to the World Championships. On January 1st 1998, the EPA as an Association, adopted the World Eight Ball Pool Federation rules as the official set of rules. EPA have a set available to download, but the rules may be viewed via the site links.
